Coming up! On Wed. Oct. 23 at Disney Hall, not only is it the venue’s 10th anniversary, it’s also the world premier Los Angeles Philharmonic presentation of Frank Zappa’s 200 Motels. This is going to be served up in a big way that will, for the first time, realize FZ’s vision of this mind-blowing conceptual piece. Why am I telling you about it? Because you should go see it, and also because I’ll be in it, playing guitar in the band along w/ Scott Thunes (bass), Joe Travers (drums), original Mother of Invention Ian Underwood (keys), an entire cast of crazy characters, and of course the L.A. Philharmonic with Esa-Pekka Salonen at the helm. This will be, as the kids say, epic. Go here for ticket info.
